I'm currently in the process of photographing every tombstone in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria, Illinois.
In my research I have found hundreds of aunts, uncles and cousins as well as numerous ancestors buried in Springdale. Several years ago I began taking pictures of their tombstones. I have found other family gravesites in other cemeteries throughout the country using online resources and have decided to create an online resource of my own for other researchers - a photo index of tombstones in Springdale Cemetery.
Note that this will not be a complete index of the over 72,000 interments at Springdale. There are unmarked graves (including one of my own ancestors) and therefore no stone to photograph. There are also illegible stones, either worn by time or damaged, that don't provide any information. When possible, interment information for a mausoleum will be posted with a photo of the mausoleum itself.
